Biography & Educational Background Graduated from University of Tennessee Knoxville with a BS degree in 1968 majoring in Political Science. While there was a member of several campus organizations including president of Kappa Alpha Order & member of The Pride of the Southland Band.Graduated from UT Center for the Health Sciences (UTCHS) Memphis in 1971 with a DDS Degree, receiving the Richard Dogget Dean Society Award.Served with Memphis/Shelby County Health Department providing care for the indigent population.Completed a two year Pediatric Dental Residency @ UTCHS, associated with Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, St Jude Hospital, Regional Child Development Center, & Memphis Crippled Children’s' Hospital. Received an MS Degree in Pediatric Dentistry in 1974.Began Private Practice of Pediatric Dentistry in Knoxville in 1974.Became certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in 1980.Returned to academia in 1982 completing a two-year Orthodontic Residency @ Chandler Hospital, Lexington, University of Kentucky in 1984.Re-entered full-time private practice in Knoxville Tennessee establishing the only joint practice of Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics in the State of Tennessee @ that time. Moved his Practice to the present location @1516 Coleman Road Suite 208 in 1991.Became Certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics in 1992.
